Dental Tips from Dr. James Montgomery
-
When selecting a toothbrush, make sure it has
soft bristles and is a size and shape that will allow you to reach
all tooth surfaces.
-
Brush your tongue to remove bacteria and freshen
your breath.
-
Don't forget to floss the backside of your tooth.
-
Make sure to brush twice a day with a fluoride
toothpaste and floss at least once a day.
-
Replace your toothbrush every three to four months
or sooner if the bristles become worn or frayed.
-
When brushing, move your toothbrush in short,
gentle, circular strokes.
-
When flossing, slide the floss between teeth using
a gentle, sawing motion.
